Goals

Area 1 of the DigComp program to be taught by AEDIH Academy, “Information and data literacy. Data-Based Decisions”, seeks to strengthen the capabilities of small and medium-sized companies in identifying and addressing their own demands for data and information in digital environments.

Program

1. Search and filtering of data, information and digital content (8h). September 10 and 12

  • Articulate information needs, search for data, information and content in digital formats. Access data, information and content and navigate between them. Create and update personal search strategies
  • Identification of information needs and construction of a simple search strategy
  • Identification of data sources (open data portals and platforms)
  • Data collection tools and methods (Big data-AI and others)
  • Online safety rules
  • Digital and data responsibility

2. Evaluation and processing of data, information and digital content (8h). September 17 and 19

  • Analyze, compare and critically evaluate the credibility and reliability of sources of data, information and digital content. Analyze, interpret and critically evaluate data, information and digital content
  • Data analysis: filtering, classification, ordering.
  • Data interpretation
  • Converting data into information
  • Data privacy and security

3. Management of data, information and digital content (8h). September 24 and 26

  • Organize, store and retrieve data, information and content in digital environments. Organize and process in a structured environment
  • Data manipulation and exploitation
  • Data storage for ease of use
  • Communication and decision making
  • Creating custom reports

Visits to companies

At Aragón EDIH we firmly believe in the importance of connecting training with the real world, and that is why the program includes a visit to a leading company in the field related to the course.

Participants will have the opportunity to visit the PODOACTIVA company located in the Walqa Technology Park.
