Next Generation Internet (NGI) is a European Commission initiative that aims to shape the development and evolution of the Internet towards an Internet of Humans. An Internet that responds to people’s fundamental needs, including trust, security and inclusion, while reflecting the values and norms that all citizens enjoy in Europe.
NGI SARGASSO focuses on strengthening EU cooperation and strategic partnerships with the United States and Canada for the next generation internet. The project has been organised to support all internet innovators in areas such as trust and data sovereignty, open and trusted discovery and search, and internet architecture and decentralised technologies.
